All the insights and techniques are hidden in the projects, so the kids get to go right into making things! By the end of the week, campers walk away with their artwork, a love for creative expression, and perhaps a new favorite technique.

At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.

Experience the world of ARTopia, where your child’s imagination can soar. In this fun studio art class, campers ages 5-8 will conceptualize, design, and create art projects in such mediums as painting, sculpting and drawing. Each day, campers will have a blast making new friends and will feel confident, proud, and excited with every high five and “good job!” moment, knowing they are mastering new skills.

Do you have a passion for people? Maybe you like to draw your own superheroes or monsters, and fill sketchbooks with unique stories and ideas that spill over from your daydreams. If that sounds like you, then this is the camp for you! Campers ages 9 and up will learn some of the fundamental concepts that make good character designs successful and how to implement them into their own designs using the app Procreate and Apple Pencils. iPads and Apple Pencils are provided by the MACC, but you are welcome to bring your own.

One of our most popular camps! Painting and sculptures come to life with the imagination of young artists ages 8 and up. Campers will learn hand-building techniques, work with various types of clay and paint their own pieces. Campers will make pinch pot creatures and more!

In Digital Art Summer Camp, campers age 9 and up will delve into the exciting possibilities of digital media, exploring a wide range of techniques and tools to unleash their creativity and bring their imaginations to life. Guided by an experienced instructor who is passionate about both art and technology, campers will learn the fundamentals of digital artistry, from digital drawing painting to graphic design, and beyond.

Equipped with state-of-the-art software and hardware, campers will have the opportunity to experiment with industry-standard tool Procreate on a MACC provided iPad, gaining valuable hands-on experience as they explore the limitless potential of digital art. Whether they're creating digital illustrations or bringing characters to life, every project is an opportunity for self-expression and creative exploration.
