Campers ages 7-12 will experiment with watercolor, acrylic and tempera in this class. We will splash and splatter our way through camp while discovering beauty in the relationship between pure color and shape. Letting your imagination run wild is the rule of the day in this terrifically fun class.

Do you love animals? Then come join Ms. Barb as she teaches campers ages 6-11 in step-by-step guided lessons how to draw and paint our favorite creatures, from the fierce and ferocious to the cute and cuddly. Campers will learn how to create in a variety of mediums, including markers, oil and chalk pastels, watercolors, colored pencils and paint with acrylic on canvas. What's not to love when you combine your two favorite things, art and animals!

Experience the world of ARTopia, where your child’s imagination can soar. In this fun studio art class, campers ages 6-9 will conceptualize, design, and create art projects in such mediums as painting, sculpting, papier-mâché and drawing. Whatever medium they are working in, they will be guided through proper use of tools and techniques that will help build their knowledge and expertise of that art form. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.
Creative Art Journaling

Build your own sketchbook! Fill it with art, quotes, song lyrics and more. Campers ages 12 and up will express themselves using ink, watercolor, printmaking, and expressie lettering. Join us for a unique journey through the Art Journaling process. It's a creative way to record personal history, thoughts, emotions, accomplishments, hopes, fears and adventures all in one place. Art Journaling utilizes a unique blend of mixed-media techniques, text, and collage to create entries that are captivating, reflective, and individualized to each participant. You will learn color theory, composition, mixed-media techniques and tool usage, and you'll learn how to up-cycle many different reading materials for use as a journal.

From comics to films, most forms of modern entertainment begin with artists sketching idea with pen and paper. What contemporary artists do next with these ideas is what makes this course so exciting. Campers ages 12 and up will receive an introduction to illustration and learn how their sketches can be digitally transformed using a phone, tablet or computer. Students will bring their own digital device suitable for drawing to learn and explore creating and drawing art on a digital device. We will discuss different software and applications (Apps) and the universal tools that digital artists need to know. The MACC will proide styluses, though campers are welcome to bring their own.
