Whatever medium they are working in, they will be guided through proper use of tools and techniques that will help build their knowledge and expertise of that art form. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.

Film Camp

$430

with Amanda York

Calendar Next available session starts Jul 6, 2020 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! Future filmmakers ages 12-16 will get an overview of creating a short film starting with the writing process, pre-production, production, and post-production. We'll begin with some terminology and then go over the main job titles: writer, director, producer, cinematographer, sound, and editing as well as acting, giving campers the opportunity to experience what it's like to fill these different roles. Campers will create a 3-5 minute film. At the end of the camp, we will have a small family and friend screening that will take place at Nossi College of Art, where we will have a Q&A with the students and give them access to a copy of their film online.

Calendar Next available session starts Jul 6, 2020 at 1 pm, runs for 1 week

Build your own sketchbook! Fill it with art, quotes, song lyrics and more. Campers ages 12 and up will express themselves using ink, watercolor, printmaking, and expressie lettering. Join us for a unique journey through the Art Journaling process. It's a creative way to record personal history, thoughts, emotions, accomplishments, hopes, fears and adventures all in one place. Art Journaling utilizes a unique blend of mixed-media techniques, text, and collage to create entries that are captivating, reflective, and individualized to each participant. You will learn color theory, composition, mixed-media techniques and tool usage, and you'll learn how to up-cycle many different reading materials for use as a journal.
