What is a junk journal? Essentially, a junk journal is a handmade book created from a variety of papers, and embellishments. It can include personal memorabilia, photos, mixed media, washi tape, stamping, and recycled cards, to name a few. 

Junk journaling is a great means of using all those collected cards and memorabilia! These journals can be done in random fashion or incorporated into themes such as friendship, travel, birthdays, anniversaries and memories. 

We will begin our 2 ring bound junk journal, and have fun layering the pages to create an eclectic —no rhyme or reason —one of a kind creation! Plan to enjoy a light- hearted and creative class where your junk is uniquely you. No experience is needed, and beginners are welcome.

An additional $20 supply fee will be due to the teacher on the first day of class.

In this introductory weaving class, students will take away basic weaving skills to create a beautiful wallhanging. Students will learn how to warp a lap loom as well as different techniques (including plain weaving, rya knots and soumak) to create a variety of patterns and designs. No previous experience necessary and all skill levels welcome.

Art Play is an opportunity to experience creative community. It is a judgement-free zone to stretch your creative artistic muscles. Each week, an art technique will be introduced using a variety of materials. You will make your own unique creation while getting to know like-minded creatives. This will include the use of stencils, stamping, collage, washi tape, and doodling. No experience is necessary. Release your inner artist and enjoy the fun!
