So, you think only a handful of super-talented artists can draw? Think again! The picture of this beautiful angelfish was drawn by an ordinary eight-year-old child using a very simple and fun drawing method called Monart. Created by the noted artist and teacher Mona Brookes, the Monart method provides children with an alphabet of five basic shapes that markedly improves their visual perception and drawing skill. Ms. Barb is a master of this method, and she’ll have your kids drawing like little Rembrandts in no time. Children will have fun using markers, colored pencils, charcoal, oil, and chalk pastels. They’ll also paint on canvas using acrylics and watercolors. Come create masterpieces of animals, nature, sea life, landscapes, architecture, fantasy, people and more. Member discount: 15 percent. A uniquely designed art experience that teaches children ages 10 and up various art mediums, art historical styles & movements, while learning about the influential Artists who helped create them. Students will get to work like the masters and gain a greater understanding of the role of art throughout history and across cultures. The drawing of the beautiful little pug you see here was created by a 12-year-old girl using this proven method. Ms. Barb is a master of this method, and she’ll have your older kids working with graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, pastels, acyrlics and watercolors to create amazingly realistic artworks in no time. Are you ready to take your drawing style and experience to the next level? Learn how to transfer, alter and refine artwork that you have done on paper and turn it into a digital work of art. Learn how to draw directly on a tablet and paint using the in class app Procreate, the IPad Pro, and Apple Pencil. This class teaches students ages 12 and up the universal language of digitizing art, and the translatable terms and concepts necessary to understand whether you are working on a PC, MACBOOK, or Wacom drawing table. Tablets and digital drawing pens are provided. Students are able to bring their own preferred device. Member discount: 15 percent. Supply fee: $50
