Sand, Seashells and Sun July 5 - 8 Ages 6 - 9

Soak up the sun in this fun drawing and painting mixed media class. Campers ages 6-9 will experiment with different materials including seashells, pearls, sand, glitter and more to create their own masterpieces. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward, bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.
The Wonderful World of Weaving July 5 - 8 Ages 8 and up

In this introductory weaving class, campers ages 8+ will take away basic weaving skills to create necklaces, bookmarks and wallhangings. Campers will learn how to warp a lap loom as well as different techniques (including plain weaving, rya knots and soumak) to create a variety of patterns and designs. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward, bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.
Drawing Essentials

Discover the world of drawing and hone your skills to recreate the world around you. This class will look at the fundamentals of drawing from shape to measurement, light, and perspective and how to choose the right tools for any composition. Throughout the class you will develop your eye for perceiving and rendering through the creation of a unique still life.
Member discount: 15 percent. Supply fee: $50.
An Intro to Basic Short Filmmaking July 11 - 15 - Ages 12 - 16

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! Future filmmakers ages 12-16 will get an overview of creating a short film starting with the writing process, pre-production, production, and post-production. We'll begin with some terminology and then go over the main job titles: writer, director, producer, cinematographer, sound, and editor as well as acting, giving campers the opportunity to experience what it's like to fill these different roles. Campers will create a 3-5 minute film. At the end of the camp, we will have a small family and friend screening that will take place at Nossi College of Art, where we will have a Q&A with the students and give them access to a copy of their film online.
Animation Maniacs (Intermediate) July 11 - 15 Ages 12 and up

Pictures are better when they move! Using the MACC's provided iPads, students ages 12 and up will learn the art of motion and create animated GIFS to bring their characters to life. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor to share their creations with friends and family.
Color and Clay July 11 - 15 Ages 9 - 13

Painting and sculpture come to life with the imagination of young artists ages 9-13. Make a colorful splash on clay and other 3D materials. Artists will develop their skills and new techniques to produce fun sculptures! At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.
ARTopia July 11 - 15 Ages 7 - 11

Experience the world of ARTopia, where your child’s imagination can soar. In this fun studio art class, campers ages 7-11 will conceptualize, design, and create art projects in such mediums as painting, sculpting, papier-mâché and drawing. Whatever medium they are working in, they will be guided through proper use of tools and techniques that will help build their knowledge and expertise of that art form. At the end of the week, campers will participate in a mini-reception with their instructor and afterward bring their artwork home to share with friends and family.
Imagination Station July 11 - 15 Ages 5 - 8
